GFX Language

# Render - A picture with no background, or a single colour background, e.g. neon green, that can be easily removed.

# Stock - A photographic picture often with real life subjects used as part of a sig

# C4D - Technically an abstract 3D shape created in the program Cinema4D, but can refer to any abstract or 3D image

# Vector - A simple "cartoon style" image that has a clean edged style. It technically can refer to an image where no pixelation occurs when resizing.

# Raster - The opposite of vector, e.g. any bitmap image.

# BG - Abbreviation for background

# Monochrome - A picture coloured in greyscale or black&white

# Duotone - A picture coloured in only 2 colours

# Feathering - Adding a fading efect or smoothing effect when cutting or blending

# Gradient - A smooth transition of one or more colours to another

# Res - In the case of "Lo-Res" or "Hi-Res" refers to the quality of resolution of the image

# CnC or C&C or C and C - Comments/Compliments and Criticism when on a sig.

#PNG - This is a format to save your work as.. Examples might be, iTokeSig.png or iTokesig.jpg - Though PNG Keeps your image the clearest. (I Recomend to save all photoshop files as a .Png File)

#Layer - A new layer is a new slide to work on, Adding multiple layers allows you to work on one image without adding the same effects to the others.

# Smudging - Smudges a photo where you want to.

# Blur - Making a layer/image out of focus.

# Focal - The main part of your photo, you work around this and add effects to this to make it stand out.

# Flow - Something you want every photo to possess, this makes your eyes move towards your focal.

# Lighting - Making a light source to give a certain glow to your Focal.

#Composition - is simply defined as the organization of space. Take a good look at the piece and try to note the center of interest. Also note any distractions that you might find that you might offer up as some constructive critisism.

# Colours and lighting - Colour is very important. Colour can give a piece depth and is used to create style and appeal. For example: red is commonly used to bring text and images to the foreground and is also a very emotionally intense color. Anyway... tell the artist if you like or dislike certain colours. Or maybe witch colours would look better to you if you don't like the colours. Lighs sources are also important: they can be used to create a focus point and much more. So think about that too.

# Contrast - Are the colours sharp or muddled toghether? Does the contrast make the piece or an object in it jump out at you or does it
convey a softer greyer feel? And do these things give the piece a negative or a positive feeling.

# Depth - is discribed as the range in an photograpth or an art piece, from near to far, that apears to be in focus. In a piece with a small depth of field the subject is in focus and the background is not, whereas a piece with a large depth of field the foreground

# Photoshop - A Program used for image manipulation and photo editing.

# Cinema4D - A Program used to create 3D Images and texts. They can be stationary or moving.

# Canvas - For other arts, Its usally a blank square to write/draw/paint on. For Digital art its the white space when you open PS that you work with.

# Color Scheme - The colors you use for your photo. Hint - Colors should always be matching and shouldn't play against each other.

# .Gif - A way to save a photo, Used mostly for pictures that move or change in some way.

# Pen Tool - A tool used for creating straight lines by clicking. Can be used to create vectors and 2D images if used correctly.

# Userbar - A Bar stating random information, such as a game, sport, or activity you participate in.

Hope this helps you guys and if i've missed anything off please feel free to post.
And also I don't really want a lot of hate of flame because at the end of the day I've gone out of my way to help people out .

The most important part of GFX is have FUN!
